The night seemed to be approaching fast. Faster than usual. Then I sensed it. The silent wind blowing in from my window was cooler. The sky rumbled at my realizations. I hid underneath my blanket but I faced towards my window. I waited until it came suddenly without an introduction. The sky cried and roared, angry that it failed to surprise me. I looked as it beat my neighbor’s roof. My heart pounded against my chest as hard as the sky’s tears fell to the earth. Its shouts shook my bones so I kept hidden. The sky will not see me afraid.
